Kyle Tan

Kyle is a first-generation Malaysian Chinese migrant currently residing in Hamilton. He completed his PhD in community psychology and population health. His research interests include social determinants of health, rainbow health, racism and racialisation, and culturally safe care. He is currently employed as a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies, University of Waikato. In 2023, he was awarded the GV Goddard Early Career Award for Excellence in Research by the New Zealand Psychological Society.
