Asian Family Services (AFS) was nominated and selected as one of the recipients of the 2019 Waitematā Local Board Good Citizens’ Award, in a ceremony that was held at the Auckland Town Hall on 16 May.
The Good Citizens’ Award was given to AFS in acknowledgment of their initiative and contribution to improving the lives of the significant Asian population in the Waitematā.
Ivan Yeo, Asian Family Services Deputy Director, said they were honoured to receive this award as recognition of the work we do with Asian communities throughout New Zealand.
“It was an incredible event, and we were proud to be part of a room full of so many inspiring people who were doing incredible work in the community,” he said.
The PGF Group management would like to congratulate AFS management and staff, past and present, on winning this award, as it is their hard work and dedication that has made a difference in so many people’s lives over the last 20 years.
