· Sheehan experienced many years of gambling harm after immigrating to New Zealand; however, through the support of caring people and dedicated Asian Family services, He was able to rebuild his life and begin lasting recovery. 

· Sheehan also completed studies in Contemporary Ministry at Alphacrucis College, which strengthened his desire to support others. 

· As a Peer Support Worker, he is committed to sharing his lived experience and walking alongside individuals and families on their journey toward recovery.
