I am a Chinese-New Zealander, born in China and having grown up in New Zealand since I was six. I have lived in Auckland since 2021, but consider Wellington my home, having transferred to Auckland University from Otago University. I graduated early this month, on May 6th, with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology. I am currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) in Psychology at Auckland University and will be pursuing my Master's next year. My interests include neurogenetics and, separately, culture, immigration, and hybrid identities—all within the context of mental health. Given my bi-cultural background and multilingual abilities, I believe these are significant advantages that I want to utilise in contributing to the mental health sector.
