Born and raised in China, Kai (He/Him/His) values his language, culture, and identity. He has been working in New Zealand as a registered early childhood teacher and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE) and Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL).
As a gay from LGBTTQIA+ communities, practising inclusiveness at university, workplace and social media. Kai came out as a gay in class and applied rainbow elements to assignment design. He invited his teacher and classmates to attend 2023 Auckland Pride March. Kai also likes LGBTTQIA+ movies, TV series, and books, and is willing to share them so that people can better understand LGBTTQIA+ communities.
